MVP Scoping That Actually Works: Cutting Features Without Cutting Value
Falcon Technologies Team•September 2, 2025•5 min read

Start with the core bet, not the feature list
Before listing features, we try to define the single assumption the product needs to validate. Everything in the MVP should exist to test that assumption as directly as possible.
Cutting scope without cutting value
The easiest mistake is cutting polish instead of scope — shipping every planned feature in a rougher form, rather than shipping fewer features at a quality bar users will trust. We generally recommend the opposite: fewer flows, built well enough to generate honest feedback.
Designing for the next phase, not just the first one
Even a lean MVP benefits from an architecture that can grow — a data model that doesn't need to be rebuilt the moment the product gains real traction.
