Harborline Customer Portal
A self-service web portal concept allowing logistics customers to track shipments, manage documents, and raise support requests.
Business Challenge
Logistics customers had no self-service way to check shipment status, leading to a high volume of manual status-check calls and emails.
Project Objectives
- Give customers real-time visibility into shipment status
- Reduce inbound support volume for routine status checks
- Provide a secure space for shared shipping documents
Proposed Solution
A responsive customer portal concept with authenticated accounts, a shipment tracking dashboard, document center, and a structured support request flow.
Design Approach
A clean, data-dense dashboard layout prioritizing scannability, with status badges, timelines, and clear visual hierarchy for time-sensitive information.
Technical Implementation
Built as a Next.js application with server-rendered dashboards, a PostgreSQL data layer for shipment and document records, and a REST API layer designed for integration with carrier systems.
Feature Highlights
- Shipment tracking timeline
- Document center
- Role-based accounts
- Support request workflow
