Summit Knowledge Agent
An internal AI agent demonstration that answers internal questions from company documentation with cited sources and escalation.
Business Challenge
New team members and support staff spent significant time searching scattered internal documentation for answers to common questions.
Project Objectives
- Provide quick, accurate answers to internal questions
- Ground every answer in actual internal documentation
- Escalate confidently to a human when the answer isn't clear
Proposed Solution
A retrieval-augmented knowledge assistant with a conversation panel, visible source citations, defined tool access, and an escalation path for unclear questions.
Design Approach
An interface that visually separates the conversation, retrieved sources, and execution steps, so users can see why the assistant gave a particular answer.
Technical Implementation
Implemented with a vector search layer over internal documentation, an LLM API for response generation, and logging for evaluation and continuous improvement.
Feature Highlights
- Grounded Q&A
- Source citations
- Escalation to a human
- Usage monitoring
Technologies Used
